Support
Email me at [email protected]. I read every message myself and reply within a few days. It helps to say which computer you use (Windows or Linux) and what you see on screen.
For a bug or an idea, the feedback button in the bottom-right corner of the app works too. It can attach the app's version and recent logs, and shows you what it will send first.
The confirmation email hasn't arrived
- It comes from [email protected]. Look in your spam or junk folder, and in Gmail's other tabs.
- The link works for 24 hours. If it has expired or never came, register again with the same address and a fresh link is sent.
- Sign-in codes work for 10 minutes. Ask for a new one if it has run out.
- Forgotten your password? Set a new one.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
During the beta the installer isn't signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen and your browser are wary of it. In the blue SmartScreen box, click More info, then Run anyway. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep. The downloads page lists each file's SHA-256 checksum if you want to check it.
No beats from the microphone
- Open App settings > Inputs and check that the microphone is listed and shows a level when the clock ticks.
- Check that the clock is assigned to that input.
- Put the microphone close to the movement. A clip-on mic on the case works better than one across the room.
- On Windows, open Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone and turn on Microphone access. ClockGrapher runs in the background, so it needs this switch on for the whole computer.
- Still nothing? Email me and say which microphone or interface you use.
Moving to another computer
- Install ClockGrapher on the new computer and sign in. If all your installs are in use, it asks before stopping the oldest one.
- Or remove the old computer first on your account page.
- You can move a licence 3 times in any 30 days. If you need more, email me.
- Your recordings stay on the old computer: removing ClockGrapher keeps its data folder.
A computer with no internet
Download the licence file from your account page, copy it to that computer and open it there. A beta licence works offline for 30 days at a time.
